Bold Heron began in Maine with a simple idea: birding is better when it’s shared. What started as a personal love of birds and birdwatching has grown into a small business created by birders, for birders.

As this community grows, so does our commitment to conservation. A portion of proceeds from Bold Heron will be donated to organizations and efforts working to protect birds and preserve the habitats they depend on.

In Maine, birds are part of everyday life. From the familiar calls of Black-capped Chickadees in winter, to the haunting cry of a Common Loon on a quiet lake, to the flash of a Yellow Warbler in spring migration, birdwatching connects us to the rhythms of the natural world. Whether you’re scanning the coast for shorebirds, watching a Bald Eagle soar overhead, or enjoying Evening Grosbeaks at a feeder, birding turns ordinary moments into something special.

Bold Heron was created to celebrate that experience and help bring birders together. While we design bird-inspired apparel, Bold Heron is not just a t-shirt store. Our goal is to build a community of people who share a love of birds, enjoy talking about their sightings, and help spread awareness about the importance of protecting birds and their habitats.
